General Responsibilities:


  • Overall responsibility for maintenance services to the Operations Control Center (“OCC”) by:
  • acting as the primary focal for all technical and maintenance issues reported by the flight crews and vendors,
  • coordinates MEL, NEF, deferred items and CDL events,
  • ensures return to service is performed in accordance with written procedures for all maintenance activities managed by MCC,
  • Liaises with Engineering, MROs, Suppliers and OEMs, as applicable to troubleshoot/resolve complex aircraft defects and repairs.
  • Manages a 24/7/365 technical staff schedule to meet the needs of the aircraft schedule.
  • Develops the standards, metrics, and procedures to measure effectiveness of the MOC team.
  • Develops minimum training standards that meet the requirements established by the DOM and for ensuring department staff are trained to those standards.
  • Ensures the MOC Department functions in an effective and efficient manner.

  • In depth knowledge of aircraft regulations.
  • Deep understanding of aircraft structures, engines and systems including damage assessment.
  • Demonstrated leadership in creating a highly effective MOC Team with an efficient department structure; defining and implementing effective processes; and selecting and mentoring staff to create a highly successful organization.
  • Possess a solid understanding of the following with respect to the certificate holder's operation: 
  • Aviation safety standards and safe operating practices
  • 14 CFR Chapter I (Federal Aviation Regulations)
  • The certificate holder's operations specifications and manuals required by 135.21
  • All appropriate maintenance and airworthiness requirements including Parts 1, 21, 43, 91, 135 and 145 applicable to the position
  • Possess a fundamental understanding of aircraft maintenance and operations.
  • Holds an A&P license with type training on one or more of the aircraft types in the operation and has extensive experience in a similar position.
  • Minimum five years in leadership role is required.
